Privacy Policy

Account information, including your name, username, phone number, optional email address, profile details, verification status, and a securely hashed password.

Booking and transaction information, including stay details, dates, party size, contact details, prices, payment status, payment references, and messages about a booking.

Content you choose to provide, such as profile photos, posts, photos, videos, comments, reviews, events, property enrollment details, and social connections.

Communications you send through inquiries, giveaway entries, support requests, and account or data-deletion requests.

Technical and usage information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, browser or device type, session and authentication data, requested URLs, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.

We use this information to create and secure accounts, verify phone numbers, show stays and community content, process and support bookings, facilitate payments, respond to requests, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. HippieStay does not use personal information for third-party behavioural advertising.

We share only what is needed with property hosts, trip or event organizers, and other users when you book, participate, publish content, or use social features.

We use service providers for hosting, media storage, email, SMS verification, payment processing, security, and technical operations. Those providers process information for the service they supply to us.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

When you choose to upload a profile image, event image, or other media, the app asks for access to the photo or file you select. HippieStay does not access your entire photo library when the operating system offers a limited picker.

The current app does not request precise background location. Property coordinates shown in the service describe a stay or destination, not your device location.

We use encrypted network connections, access controls, hashed passwords, scoped authentication tokens, and operational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Account information is retained while your account is active. You may request account and associated-data deletion at any time from our data-deletion page.

After verification, we aim to complete deletion within 30 days. Content, profile data, authentication tokens, and social connections associated with the account are deleted or anonymized. Copies in routine backups may remain for up to 90 days before being overwritten.

Booking, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and dispute records may be retained for up to seven years where reasonably necessary or legally required. We limit those records to what must be kept and disconnect or anonymize them where feasible.

You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or object to certain processing, subject to applicable law. You can update available profile fields from your account and can contact us for anything not available there.

HippieStay is not directed to children. A booking must be made by someone legally able to enter the booking agreement. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it.

We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here and update the date shown at the top.
